Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Ottawa, Canada– Prof. Tahany Aleisa, Cultural Attaché at The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in the United States of America and Acting Cultural Attaché in Canada, met with Dr. Mark Walker, Vice Dean for Internationalization and Global Health, University of Ottawa, and his team today to explore opportunities for collaboration in medical training for Saudi doctors.
During the meeting, Prof. Aleisa discussed the potential expansion of medical training programs for Saudi doctors at the uOttawa Faculty of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals, with a focus on increasing the number of doctors in high-demand specialties needed by healthcare institutions in Saudi Arabia. The discussions also covered opportunities for collaborations in other academic programs that aim at enhancing doctors' leadership skills in the healthcare sector.
At the end of the meeting, Prof. Aleisa expressed her appreciation for the university’s continued cooperation and reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to strengthening the partnership in alignment with the objectives of the Saudi Ministry of Education and sponsoring agencies
